An aunt of mine suddenly passed away last night. I have about 20 cousins coming in tomorrow so I'm cooking 2 briskets and 3 slabs of ribs along with baked beans for them. I'm not only praying for our family but I'm also praying for this cook to go well. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for your loss :( All that food cooked on the egg ....your family will appreciate your efforts. Only thing you might want to add would be and a good bottle of scotch to toast the old gal.

Beans and Mac and cheese are about as comforting as it gets. Prayers and good food can fix just about anything. I'll offer up a little of both for you and yours.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

Thanks Travis, that means a lot. I hope your eye gets better and everything will be ok. I know how you feel. I too have an eye injury and it sucks.

The briskets are done and the wife and I took samples............a lot of samples........ and they are as fine as frog hair. It took about 5 hours hours for them to cook and pass the probe test. Now they are sitting in the fridge waiting to be be sliced in the morning. The ribs should go on at about 7 in the morning.
