Will rain on the probe wires of the maverick ruin them ? I know the plug end and the joint between the probe and wire should be kept dry.
If I put the remote in a waterproof box and the probe is in the egg and only the wire is exposed to rain will this work or not ?

What I have done is put the remote in a plastic baggy and hung that next to the egg, I have noproblems with moisture in the wires or maverick unit.Gerhard

Same here...unit in zip lock bag on shelf next to egg in rain or snow. Wires are on their own in the elements and have always been fine.
