Hey All,There was a discussion awhile ago about finding things in their lump, Well this is what I found on a clean out today. This was from a bag of Frontier Lump Wood. Naked Whiz gave it a good review The lump burnt well and had a good flavor. There is a quarter on the plate for size comparison. All of this is from 1 bag

So far I've found 6 rocks that size in my Egg from a bag of Primos that I'm still using.
-
Man, I have never found a quarter before! Just kidding, that's a lot of trash.

All it takes is one scoop too close to the ground to put a bunch of junk into a load, I guess. The only thing to be concerned about is if it weighs so much that you are getting shorted on the contents of the bag.

I found a bunch of rocks like that in a bag of Kroger lump recently. Naked Whiz offered the best suggestion that I've ever heard to explain how rocks got in there.
No worries from my perspective.

I've found rocks in my BGE lump. Most look like the ones near the quarter.

Found a crushed beer can in my first bag of BGE when I bought my large. Needless to say I was not impressed, but have bought BGE brand since then so I guess it didn't scare me completely off2 Large Eggs and no chickens. How's that work?

Copied from a previous response of mine.
The worst thing I ever found in a bag of RO was an unidentifiable piece
of plastic. It was unidentifiable because it was stuck like glue to the
side of my fire box. Damn thing ruined the potato casserole I was
doing and took two high temp cleaning burns to stop smelling. I've
found lots of rocks, metal and glass.MikeOmaha, NE

Not happy with this from my BGE lump. This is what I found left after my previous cook so I'm not sure much I burned when smoking my chuck roast. Looks like fiberglass insulation.
I think I'm going to try weekend warrior blend.

I've used about 30 bags of Ozark Oak during the past year...and have only found 1 piece of rock during this time. Looks like OO has good quality control.Fairview, Texas
