I had one, as a matter of fact I still do but have no idea where it is
because I've never had any desire to use it after I got a Thermapen.
The Thermapen looks expensive at first but in the end it was only a
couple of dollars more then the total amount I spent on the half dozen
or so other probes I tried. Something like the Taylor is OK if your
just checking one thing like a roast, its slow but you can get by. If
your doing something like a bunch of burgers or a couple of steaks at
high heat you can't beat the Thermapen. Here is a link: http://www.thermoworks.com/products/thermapen/splashproof_thermapen.html?gclid=CPa0k4Knuq0CFYFx4Aod5UscBg

I agree with Hungrey Joe. My Thermapen is my most important "tool" for the egg.A little pricey but well worth it.Dave San Jose, CA The Duke of Loney

If you just buy a Thermapen now, you'll save the money on all those other thermometers you try before you end up buying a Thermapen. Which is what happened to me also.
+1 for Thermapen. -
Thermapen is the #1 eggcessory out there.

Yep, it's thermapen. New years eve I was cooking a beef tenderloin . I was at the lakehouse on Lake Cumberland. Forgot to take the thermapen. Had a failure on my "electric cheapie". Ordered another thermapen...have 2 large BGEs, need 2 thermapens.
