Mad maxs Turkey recipe has a picture of little metal feet that hold his roasting pan above the inverted place setter...does anyone know where I could order those? Thanks!
I did not get any "feet" with mine either. Can someone post or link a photo so those of us that are new know what it is we should be looking for? I might have to go see my dealer.
Those are ceramic feet (not metal) in Max's picture of his turkey cook. They should come in one of the boxes with your egg, if you got it unassembled. They do not come with the XL because of the extra diameter and the potential for the base to crack under the weight. Their design function is to allow for air flow under the egg so the base doesn't get a wood table so hot it burns.
They should have come w/ your Egg - you should be able to go back to your dealer & get them for FREE.

HH is right. come with the egg (unless an XL). some dealers who deliver an egg with a table or nest don't turn over the feet for some reason. but they are packaged with the egg from the factory, table or nest or not
Thnx to Wildcat I went to the dealer today and he gave me 4 and an apology- ceramic ones! Then got a beauty kitchen aid roaster that will use for next roast- stoked!!!
I just got a XL egg and have installed firebricks for the XL to sit on. I was going to purchase the feet and sit my XL on them to allow for the airflow between the egg and the bricks. After reading this forum it sounds like I should not.
Just want to verify that the XL is not designed to support the feet?
If I wanted to get airflow under the XL is there an option?
I'd say you could just use 3 or 4 firebricks & have the spaces between them be the gaps for the airflow (easier to show in a pic rather than try to explain, so see attachment).
Anyway, as far as the ceramic feet for the XL BGE - they are NOT recommended to be used with the XL.
