Welcome aboard you are gonna love it. I too am pretty new but learning so fast. On your short list, you'll want something to deflect the flames and cook indirectly, be it a plate setter, or something modified. That will allow you to cook low and slow. I'd say further down the road, a pizza stone is a must. But there are a whole world of things you can cook without anything but the stock grill and egg. I would suggest for your first cook do something simple. Steak, Salmon fillets, ABTs, Spatchcock chicken or something. Whatever you like...Be sure to stock up on Lump! I really like Royal Oak from Walmart.LBGE, Weber OTG w/ Rotisserie, Weber Genesis S-330, Chargriller Duo, AR-15, AK-47

Welcome to the world of the EGG. It is a lot of fun. There are many people here to help you when the questions pop up. Pizza tastes AWESOME on the egg. Putting steaks on the grill tomorrow. Can't wait. Might do some ABTS for an appy.Enjoy your EGGLarge, small, and a mini

I'm a little anti-eggstablishment and a unrepentant minimalist in the accessories department with one exception...the placesetter. Was given one as a gift a few years ago and it really does produce spectacular results when cooking indirectly.
