OK, so I know this is a day late and a dollar short but discovered an amazing trick today. My 18# Turkey finished allot faster this morning than I had planned, with credit to the Butterball help line this was amazing - take the bird off the grill when the probe reaches 180-185 in the thigh, wrap it tight in aluminum foil, then wrap that with bath towels, then wrap that with newspaper and place it in a cooler...I took mine out of the cooler after three hours and it was so hot I had to use gloves to maneuver for the carving. I was amazed, file for future reference.

I did the exact same thing prior to driving 100 miles. After 2 hours it was still steaming when I took it out of the cooler. Pretty nice way to transport.Frank
