I"ve been stuffing my abt's with hard salami and cheese. They come out quite well. Family has requested taking a shot at stuffing with Italian sausage or smoked sausage with the cream cheese. do i brown the sausage before stuffing?
Yes fully cook the Italian sausage. The internal temp will not get hot enough, long enough to cook the sausage. Most prepacked smoked sausage is fully already cooked and you should be good to dice up and stuff without cooking.
