My egg is not covered. I put the butt on, and all of a sudden it starts pouring. I made a little make shift cover over the top daisywheel vents, but I can tell it's blocking the air flow.
What to do?

This advice won't help you now, but next time you are at Lowe's or Home Depot buy a metal 6 inch rain cap. It fits perfectly over the daisywheel.
