Homemade Lump Charcoal

I have decided to try and make my own charcoal.

I have read instructions that call for two metal drums...55 and 35 gal.

Does anybody make their own or have any tips?

I am guessing if I can get the barrels for free, the wood for free and figuring charcoal cost a minimum of .66 cents per pound...

I might could break even on the deal.

I grill therefore I am.....not hungy.
