Howdy...
Had a nice family party at the cas del marco yesterday. About 40
relatives invaded my home and we all had a nice day with perfect
weather, cool drinks and off course some Barbecue !
I went shopping and prepared all that stuff on friday. Eary saturday
morning i fired up Suzy Q, prepared my workplace and loaded the coolers.
Ribs, Pork Neck and 2 Wild pig legs brought by one of the guests who is a hunter.
Around noon the guests arrived
started off with lots of different fingerfood
dry aged irish striploin
wild hog
meat loaf with cheese
Pork neck, pork loin, ribs, planked salmon
roasted chilis with garlic, EVOO, sea salt and parmesan
au gratin potatoes in the dutch oven
Dessert : grilled pineapple, marinated with brown sugar, cinnamon,
chili and rum. served with ice cream, whipped cream and caramel sauce
Everyone enjoyed the day. Later in the evening i put on the heaters
and the kids loved to roast some dough on skewers
Later on i made another batch of fingerfood and served the leftovers.
The family already threatens me to make this an annual event... D´oh !
Cheers !

Man, that is one heck of a setup you have. That could practically be a restaurant. Food looked incredible. I'm almost embarrassed to cook in my backyard now.Joe - I'm a reformed gasser-holic aka 4Runner Columbia, SC Wonderful BGE Resource Site: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramicfaq.htm and http://www.nibblemethis.com/ and http://playingwithfireandsmoke.blogspot.com/2006/02/recipes.html
