I saw the post below where Risingjay discovered his egg was cracked.  A few days later (while cooking a beercan chicken) I noticed smoke rising from the base of the egg!  Sure enough, there was a crack that ran across the base and up the side of the egg.  I sent an e-mail to Bruce Bohannon with BGE (his e-mail was provided in the previous post).  I have not yet heard back from Bruce (mind you, I only sent the e-mail on last Monday morning) but I was wondering if there were any other contacts you would suggest - or just call their main number?  I purchased the egg in 2004.

  • Olllie, you should contact your dealer first.  He is best equipped to help you quickly.  Usually folks only call BGE if they are having problems with their dealer.

  • Like Naked Whiz said contact your dealer first.  If you are having trouble with your dealer, another dealer in the area would be able to help you too.  If you that still doesn't work then go through egg directly.
