Sorry Fish. You are wrong. BGE is the brand and they own domain and the data. The Millers were just "working for BGE". I use quotes as I bet they were not employees. Anyway, BGE owned the data and that is why BGE Corp took over. Because they could and had ever right to do so. In fact, the other site is using the BGE name and image and could be called upon to take it down....unless they have permission My whole point is the splintering off does nothing but hurt BGE and it seems petty to me.

If that were true, don't you think that BGE would have done something by now? I think its a clear message to BGE that most aren't going to play in this sandbox. Trying to shutdown the original site maybe their only play but think of that PR nightmare. LOL. I think BGE can't do a dam thing about the green egg forum.

ive only been here since around 2002 or 3, bge never took credit for the forum and until a couple 2/3 years ago started helping it out with some puter stuff, i do believe the millers started it on their own, but i wasnt there. bge has been asked1000's of times if it were their forum through the years and would not respond

Anyone notice the handle on the large is different (bigger)? Also the vent on the small is different. On my small,the vent is the same as the mini's vent, but here it looks more like a smaller version of the larger eggs.

Maybe so Tweev. Still think 2 sites isn't as good as one. Regardless, this one will live on as long as BGE is in business. For better or worse.

@TNW; Yes, my thoughts exactly. This isn't about two forums, this is about a corporate decision to either ignore an existing customer base or to not have allocated adequate resources to the process. I just can't imagine why an occasional informational banner at the top of this forum announcing forum upgrades, etc would do anything but shut up the detractors.

Frankly I'd benefit from a well ran forum more than a new corporate website but the're mutually exclusive so lets just Keep On Eggin' http://www.bigtsbge.blogspot.com

To me this sounds like a lot of people talking a lot about something they know very little.

Who cares about these issues? I think having two forums is fun! More opportunities to bust each others ABTs and such.

Nice to see such a positive comment TT ; you really said it all, it's time to just post recipies and forget about the sniping...I use both sites and they both have their strenghts and weaknesses...they are also NOT the only place I share information or go for recipies etc. because neither provides everything you need for this hobby.
