attaching stainless vent assembly

Does anyone know of an adhesive that will glue my new stainless vent assembly to my old BGE? I tried silicon fire place caulk, but it dissolves when. it rains.Taking the guts out of my old grill will destroy it.

I think I'd call BGE direct and ask them what they use (or what they would suggest).
