I miss the old Forum Format

I'm starting to get use to it now....and for the most part on the old site I would look at the "latest posts" so that is what I'm doing here....at least now I don't see 15 Egg Fests at the top and have to keep collapsing them. That was my pet peeve on the old site. The biggest issue here, for me anyway, is they need an advanced search.

If you had to collapse the Eggfests repeatedly, perhaps something was set up wrong with your browser. They only decollapsed (?) for me when there was an update, which wasn't all that often.

if you clear your browser cache after you close your browser you will keep seeing the egg fest banners.I'm fine with the new formatcontext is important

I don't know if the format has anything to do with it, but I've noticed that there are a lot fewer OT posts. I come here to share recipes and techniques, not to pray for your Aunt Lucy's recovery from a case of gout.__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious

I love the new format. Much easier to use. Change is good

LDD, perhaps my bedside manner isn't what it should be, and I intended no offense at anyone. However, I think a cooking forum should be more or less restricted to it's intended purpose. Facebook is a wonderful medium for support groups, and I am a heavy user of it.I'm going to need to break out the jiffy pop for this one. yikes.

The layout is more current and I do like the larger text and overall layout . Still needs some work though. You just can't please everyone so things I want someone else might not like. Just need to go with the flow a but. Change is good but also difficult at times. Seems like the forum rift started over format, but I think it was more of a turf battle and finally became a save face thing...."I'm taking my ball and going home" so to speak. :-? Oh well.

I like it here. works easily for me.I also don't miss all the "clutter" (ex. above). I also found many individuals and the cliche to be narcissistic. Turned me off. Any thoughts?
