Okay - I've got part of my answer - love the fact that you can upload pics from your hard drive. :)

Also great response time - very fast.

Now testing loading a pic from the web:

What Egg Juju said. To see the formatting of another user comment with formatting, you can hit the quote hyperlink, as well.

    Try it with this one.

URL's, Links to Pics, bold, italics in posts.

Ok.  I've been playing around a little bit and have found that a good deal of standard HTML code works.

URL links are formatted using the anchor tab with the href option, just like old school HTML Coding.

Good site for basic HTML tags.

Same for for linking to a photo on the web.

    Inline photobucket pic:

Text formatting is accomplished with an opening and closing tag, both wrapped in a leading less than and greater than brackets.  i for italics and b for bold.

    Font Size 2
    Font Size 3
    Font Size 4
    Font Size 5
    Font Size 6

Font size is odd, but I'm sure I'm somehow mishandling it.

It seems that the Vanilla forum software has hundreds of plugins that can be added and I'm pretty sure that this thing will come around with some tweaking.

I'm actually quite pleased with the overall appearance of the site when viewed on the iPhone.

    Cheers,

    Captain Spaulding

if you add size=640 into your img tag, it will prevent resizing (i think)

Thanks Egg Juju & CaptainSpaulding. I speak html and tried using img src, but something didn't catch the first time. Works great now though.

  • Good looking corn, Dave.

If you add width=100% before the > in your img tag, it won't put the warning about the image being resized.

Thanks - it was great corn. Looks like it re-sizes anything over 640 to 640 and honors any sizes smaller than 640. I don't get any warnings no matter what size I use.

Probably because I'm viewing on iPhone in mobile theme mode.
