It has already been said, but splitting up the forum is a bad idea. The reason the forum is good is because of the people.

I have been in networking and technology for 15 years, it's not possible to make this type of transition without some pain. This platform seems to allow for customization and add ons to change functionality. You need to give the admins some time.

Personally, I'm staying here, we will see you when you come back.

@gshonting, I think the people have spoke their minds. I hope this forum does well and they get the kinks out but you'll always find me on the other side. Most just don't get that this isn't just a forum to most of us.

I forgot how horrible the old forum was before the settings are changed. After the change, the settings are lost, and I can not get back to where it once. Now I am just getting irritated by both sites.....I want something normal again.

Just speaking for myself, but I'm going away from all of this for a while....too many switcheroos leave me annoyed, and I don't visit this forum to be annoyed. Which one is "real"? Which one will last? Count me tired of it all....maybe by September, it will all be resolved. I'll check back then.

Hmmm.. Improvement???

I just tried to post a simple message under a different topic.

I put an emoticon at the end of a sentence. When posted, all text after the emoticon vanished and duplicate emoticons appeared instead. Multiple efforts to edit this were to no avail, AND one cannot delete a post.

This was/is clearly NOT a problem on the old forum. Very frustrating, but trying to support this Forum.

Also after multiple requests, I have not been able to get my old handle over here!
