Known Issues and Some Work Arounds

I think it would help all if we had or have a Landing Page for some issues and some of the things

we see that dont work and some of the things we have found that work. Instead of having to surf through 50 threads.

I can edit and add to them so they can see them at the top post. maybe we can help turn the boat around instead of just complaining.

You, I, and everyone, here is the reason this is a great board (BGE is just a commonality, but the people are the glue)  and a great hobby, lets step to the plate and help each other like we do with our food.

One of the Biggest Helps for me so far has been to point my Browser to:

Highlight above Drag your mouse over it,

 Right Click ,

Copy, Go up to your nvigator window right click, Paste

Save this as your favorite instead of Landing on The BGE page.

Known Log In Issues:

Browser Compatability

 (Everyone Seems to have different Luck so Far with What Works) I would highly recomend taking the time to upgrade to the latest version, not just for the forum use but for security holes.

Discussion Title Wont Take: Seeing "(Undefined)"

1. I havnt had good luck with the title, it disappears every time I type into it:

A. Save it to a Draft without a title then go back and re-input the title

This one Falls back to Pointing your browser to the right board.

How to Post Pictures

  1. 1st off its not like the old forum its easier. You just need the link to the picture.
  2.  The link is the stuff that you used to put between the [IMG] XXX [IMG] tags on the old board.
  3.  On the right hand side of the screen just above the text box you have your options for the post.
  4. Hover your mouse over the item that looks like a computer screen or picture.
  5.  Click it when you see the words insert image. A box will Pop up and it will have "http://" in it this is where you will paste your link. Once you paste it just hit submit

Changing You Picture or Adding one to your Name

Tip! before doing this save your picture to your desktop.

1. Once Signed In Click on your name in the upper right hand column. When the next screen come up go the the first selection on the left: Change Your Photo; Once Selcted a separate Pop up box will come up. Click inside and point it to whever you photo is saved. (See Tip Above)

Changing Your User Name

1. Click On your User name on The upper Right hand Side under "My Profile"

2. On the left hand side you will see and Option for :  "My Account Info"

3. Click the upper box and input your User name and click Save on the Bottom

 Recieving Notifications of Replys to Topic Discusions, Private conversations, and group Conversations

1. Click On your User name in the upper Right hand Side under "My Profile"

2. On The Left Hand side you will see an Option for "My Prefrences"

3. There are a myriad of notification choices from POP up to Emails this is where you can select or un select these
