Wood Chunks-Great Price

Up until yesterday I have been buying my wood chunks from a BGE dealer in the north Atlanta area. I had no idea how bad their price was until I found a couple of online sites yesterday. I usually only buy apple, wild cherry and sugar maple and have been paying $9 for a 3.25lb bag.
Yesterday I found a couple of sites that sell quantities as low as 5lbs and all the way up to 30lb boxes. I bought 30lbs each of apple, cherry and sugar maple for a fraction of the cost (including shipping) I have been paying my local BGE dealer.
I am not affiliated with either of these sites, but I thought I would pass them along because of the prices and what looks like really amazing quality.

you can also buy unfinished cherry at your local lumber yard and cut it up.....I believe it is stike who advocates that and unfinished cedar shingles by the bundle over those expensive cedar planks....
He's right. -
If I didn't chop and bag the wood, I think a buck a pound plus shipping is doable.
I got lotsa wood :P

Chris,
That will be true of the cedar, but sure don't think it's a good idea for Cherry. You will be paying a PREMIUM for smoking wood.
Maybe make some calls to cabinet makers, regarding their scrap as well as orchards regarding their trimming/prunings.
I know of an Apple orchard standing dead in Door County Wisconsin. Probably 100 trees. :P -
Thanks for the links, looks like good prices to me!Packerland, Wisconsin

That looks like a nice stack of pizza boxes you've got going there, too!

Thanks for the sites.
