Been craving some bird, and we have been trying several different techniques for "egg fried" chicken over the past few months so heres the latest, and best yet. also did quarters and wings, rubbed and finshed with sauce

Breast with S&P, dreged

030-7.jpg
Dipped in buttermilk
032-8.jpg

Then rolled in crushed corn flakes seasoned with red pepper, red chile powder, garlic, cumin
033-6.jpg
034-6.jpg
On the egg, indirect raised grid 425ish, sprayed with canola on both sides, the quartrs have ahomemade garlic, red pepper, S&P rub

036-2.jpg

The egg fried breast came out very good, crust was crispy, flavorful, here's hers plated, very nice, dressed with blue cheese and some red chile sauce
055-2.jpg
Here's mine, not so pretty, but good!

And finally, some pics from this morning's range session
Rhonda with her J frame

And me with my 1911

Have a good day y'all!!

Great looking cook you have there. That blue cheese shot has me drooling.

Looks like you are going to spend the afternoon gun cleaning... what are the two guns on the bench.

BTW, is Rhonda a better shot than you. Tell her hello form this end of the woods.

Nice gun. Considering your tagline, check this:

It appears the quote is inaccurate.

Hey Kent, the bird was good, Rhonda loves blue cheese, she is a pretty good shot ;):) the space age lookin thing is a Beretta Neos .22lr, the revolver is a taurus 94 in .22lr we can get a lot of rounds downrange for cheap with the .22s, then finish up with the 40 cents a shot pieces. Kind of went by sight and didn't exactly meausure a few things. Added a couple of fire-roasted baby bells, jalapenos and pecans. Also a little diced Granny Smith. Man the girls at work tore it up GG. Thank you :)
