Thermo out 30 deg low

I finally got around the checking my thermo and it was out 30 deg so with a 7/16 wrench she is dialed in now.I think everyone should check theres after mine being out that much when I thought it was on

Ha, I had a buddy that always complained that his food took so long to cook on the egg. I took his thermometer off and stuck in boiling water and it read 265 degrees. "No wonder" I said to him.

Wow that was out more than mine,Mine was close enough that I didnt know it was out.It only took a few minutes to adjust.

I just make a habit of testing my BGE thermometer and Thermapen about one a month.

Did you adjust the temp when you got your egg?? have they changed over time?

When I got mine I checked it, and it was off 30 or so. I bought mine slightly used, so maybe they do get off by there selves. You reminded me to check mine again today. It's been over a year.

I have never checked it before so I dont know if it was out from the start or has changed over time.

Myself, thousands of others and even BGE themselves have made the switch to the Tel-Tru. I said a couple years back that if they would just talk to Tel-Tru I know that they would make them custom therms of any shape or size, if they'd just call. :P
