Well, I got bored a week or two ago so I fired up the mini and cooked some chicken for lunch. This was my first time to ever cook on my own, and I loved it! I started off by injecting the chicken with a honey, butter, and orange extract mix, then made a rub of salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. I tossed it on the mini at around 300. While the chicken got going, I went in to make my glaze using the rest of the injection, adding more honey and some cayenne pepper. After the chicken had grill marks on each side I glazed it, then grilled each side to get a good coating and cook out any raw stuff left from the injection. The pictures are attached. I was pretty happy with my first cook :)

Allow me to ask, most politely, when you say:

"This was my first time to ever cook on my own"

that this is your first "from scratch" cook?

If so, get ready for what you have been missing. Hot and bubbly food right from the fire should be a right in the constitution, just like a good cup of coffee.

I meant this was my first time to actually cook without my parents there to help, also my first ever cook from scratch haha. I've been enjoying egg food forever, because my parents (Sylvester and Tweety on the forums) cook all the time. They've brought me into the world of egg-heads, and now I want an Egg as a graduation gift, a wedding present (whenever that happens), and a housewarming gift. Three of them should keep me covered ;) hah
