I was trying to come up with a new set up for wing. I do not like standing over grill flipping wings so this is what I came up with.
I got a 17 inch webber gill and cut every other bar out. Then cut wing tips off and split the wing to hang it on a bar. Put four bolts/washer for legs so I can ajust by the size of wings.
set up woo3 pizzia stone drip pan and regular gride then set the wing rack on top. Put five lbs of wings on.
:woohoo: temp in the gerage
Once the wing were done all you need to do is pick up rack and dump in to a pan
then sauce and eat
would like any and all feed back. To me the less i have to work the better. I still need to work on my wings not to happy with taste. The store has more to get and work on it. Happy forth to everyone.

These racks are only about $5 at the big box stores and you can fit 2 on a large

Ok we have you down for wings in Salado March 17th :laugh:Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

OK I am there :side: :silly:

I like the effort and the results look great! Curious, do you season your wings at all before cooking?

And they can also be used to hang legs...., that's multi-tasking!!Happy Trails~thirdeye~Barbecue is not rocket surgery -
this time I went with more of a smoke flavor. I like a garlic season or DP Dust.I am still learning with the wings.

My final thing I am looking for is something more than just a simple tool. How many of us have so many pots pans, grides iron and so forth. I trying to come up with a single gride that can do so many things. The gride i made now i can cook wings, chicken legs. butts, briskets, and looking for more Ideals. I one person that like to be different and have fun doing it. But I am always open to input ideals and comments. Thanks

I hear ya, you should see the bone pile of prototype gadgets that I have....
The one good thing about those leg/wing racks, some are folding and the other model stacks for storage. Plus there is something cool about cooking large quantities without having to tend to them much.
I don't know if you have seen Old Dave's "contraption".... long before all the accessories, Dave was one of the early Eggventors that used multiple racks. This article not only discusses the build, but has loads of cooking data too.

That what make it so much fun. Who can come up with the neatest toys to play with.
