Stuffed Mushroom Technique Question

I need help with recommendations about how to do stuffed mushrooms on the BGE. I've only done them in the oven. I will fill them with a gorgonzola, fresh jalapeno and bacon mixture. The question is: do I cook them direct, indirect, directly on the grill/grate? Or, do I cook them in a pan? Should I brush the cap bottoms with olive oil first? I plan to use button mushrooms. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
