My wife's b-day is next weekend and she has expressed a desire for one of her favorites....crab legs. Anyone ever do them on the Egg? If so, any instructions or links you can provide?
Thanks,
Thanks,

I've done them. They way I do it is wrap them in HD foil with some ice cubes and cook them until they are hot. You can open them up towards the end to get some smoke flavoring. I don't eat anything that lives in the water, but my wife loves them.

Here is some information on crabs legs for you.

Like the above link says [see Little Chef's reply] all crab legs are pre-cooked, so you are just reheating. Alittle smoke can add some subtle flavor

I just did these a few days ago. Got them from Costco, and they were pre-cooked. They were actually dungeness crab.
I think I got the Egg to about 350 & then just kept turning them every couple minutes, until they were cooked (about 10 minutes).
Aside from a couple minor char spots on the shells, the meat came out PERFECTLY with a nice, smokey flavor - I actually liked them better than some really expensive restaurants in San Fran!! :woohoo:
HTH,
RobDon't get set into one form, adapt it and build your own, and let it grow, be like water. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup... Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend. - Bruce Lee
