This recipe was sent out in a newsletter by Bill at Texas BBQ Rub the other day. Sounds awesome and with the 4th quickly approaching, I thought I'd post it here:
Smoked Beans
1 - 15 oz can of pork and beans
1 - 15 oz can of ranch style beans
½ pound of cooked bacon
½ cup of crushed pineapple
¼ cup of Texas BBQ Rub (or any rub you may have on hand)
2 jalapenos seeded and chopped
½ of a medium onion chopped
½ of a bell pepper chopped
1 tablespoon of fresh diced garlic
½ cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
1/8 cup of worchestershire sauce
½ cup of brown sugar
Mix all ingredients in a pan and place this on the BGE, indirect. Leave it uncovered on the pit for about 2 hours at whatever temp you are currently smoking your current meat, preferably 250.

Don't forget to use it as a drip pan to capture all the fatty pork goodness!!

Here, Here, I second that motion. Smoked Pork and a pan of beans under--that's the beginning of a FINE 4th.
