I made a run to Grills Grates & More in Gulfport today. I picked up a bottle of Jamaican Firewalk and a bottle of Pineapple Head. I allready have a bottle of Cowlick which I use for steak or burgers. I just thought I'd see what people use these for.

Something came to mind. Has anybody made a fruit pie or empanada with Pineapple Head in the seasoning? I'm a fan of sweet and spicy combined and have made Habenero Cheesecake and Jalapeno Brownies before.

    I'm sure the fruit pie/empanada would be delicious. I've used PH on sweet potato fries (lightly coated with olive oil and sprinkled with PH - baked at 400 til crisp)....also on peaches and pineapple (grilled on the egg). I'm making a trip to Gulfport soon - have not yet been to their new location. Has the restaurant opened - they had great food at the old location. :)

    I didn't see the resteraunt open but he has all sorts of accesories that my local dealer doesn't have especially sauces and DP. I saw some new eggs on the floor. I talked to him about the big bbque competition this weekend at the Biloxi coliseum...he's not participating. We talked about next years Eggfest, it will be in April but not on the same saturday as the Florida fest. I couldn't talk to him too long as I'm having trouble with my ears right now, stopped up and tinnitus.

    PH on French toast is incredible.

    As far as shrimp, I prefer Swamp Venom...it's a lot like Old Bay, but a bit spicier.

    I've used the Jamaican Firewalk on pineapple and on chicken.

    The pineapple will really carry the heat... has a nice kick to it.
