Ok so I am bringing my first egg home tomorrow. What is the first accessory I should get for my large?

i have a medium and the first thing i bought was a plate setter.
At least then you can do some indirect stuff right away... -
For my large I bought:
(1) Platesetter!
(2) Pizza Stone (save those little green feet!)
(3) Woo3 (‎http://ceramicgrillstore.com/)
(4) Thermapen
(5) Woo3 Extender (‎http://ceramicgrillstore.com/)
Soon I will get:
WOK
80 more pounds lump...down to 40 gotta stock up.
ENJOY!

A platesetter would also be my recommendation for first accesory to buy, it's very versatile.

The platesetter really opens up the versatility of the egg.
Raised grid of some sort is invaluable in my cook book.
Secondary votes would be a cast iron dutch oven & a good pair of welding gloves. -
Get hold of thirdeye at Playing With Smoke and Fire and order a Wiggle Rod and a Third Hand grid handle.
Very handy!

A plate setter and a thermapen. I also bought an electric lighter, works for me but opinions vary on how to light it.

With Woo3 and pizza stone do you really need a platesetter? The savings will cover the thermapen cost.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

Get a woo3 and a pizza stone. With the woo you can cook raised, indirect when you add the pizza stone, and then all you have to buy is one of those metal pizza pans from walmart and you can use that for indirect to do pizzas. The difference in price between the platesetter and the woo3 and pizza stone is probably like $20 and you can do more with the woo. Its also much nicer cooking at the gasket line than on the fire ring.

Like others said - some kind of heat barrier for indirect cooking / holding a drip pan.
Third hand is excellent.
Tongs.
(Grill Wizard brush brilliant too)
I have a Med and love my woo ring. -
