Couple Recent Cooks

Seafood Paella (with much gin).


and a veritable mixed bag. Wife was sick, so I ate all the oysters and octopus myself. Also, had planned on a weekend cook of the pork butt, and got delayed. So this was midweek, just to cook it. Odd night. "What's for dinner, dad?" "um. pulled pork, oysters, and octopus."

Here are the last two oysters, with the raw octopus and cooking butt.



I was eating the oysters as I shucked them at the sink. My wife told me to at least enjoy them outside, and so hence the two feeble remaining ones on that plate.
