My first attemp at carwash mike's ribs was ok they tasted good but were a little tough need to cook longer. Pretty good for the first time.

Great pics! They sure do look tasty, even if they weren't as done as you'd like.
If you were hoping for fall-off-the bone ribs, you have to foil them. Mike's method doesn't do that, but you'll know it's done when about 1/2" of end bones show through, and the rack falls over in half when you pick it up with tongs.

Look for a little more draw on the bones,
and try the bend test
For spares, I plan on a 7 hour cook at 250, but I don't cook to time, I do the bend test. I'm lighting my egg 8 hours before dinner time for spares. -
