Can anyone give me tips on cooking several Boston butts at once on a large Egg? What about on a medium too? Thanks!

doug, By several, I "assume" two or more. Old Dave posted his method of doing 6 or more butts in the large. Two B-Butts will fit fine one a Medium or Large and will cook the same time and temp as one. Or close to it. Monitor the smallest one, and remove and pull it when done then finish the second one..Both should arrive at pulling (not temp) stage at the same time..
    Good luck

Char-Woody,[p]Thanks for your reply. I searched the archive for this but turned up nothing. I'd like to see what Old Dave said. Yea, I mean two or three. Six would be great, but I bet I need some real instruction on that. You the man, Char.

doug, Boston Butts are so easy to cook its hard to miss.
Look in the last month or two archives...Dave posted pictures also of his rig which was 3 grills with long bolts, washers and nuts holding em all in one unit. Quite a setup. He does some big time BBQ's and feeds a bunch.
    Good luck..

    doug,
I did three 8 pounders on the large. Filled up the grid, but they all fit. Last year someone did five. Stacked in a pile and rotated every few hours. Came out fine too from what I remember. [p]NB

doug,[p]I will get you some information and pictures on cooking large amounts of meat on the large Egg. Might be a day or two as I am kinda under the weather and have lost the use of my left arm and hand for about one more week. A fellow can cook up to about 30 pounds of butts at one time. Usually that's about 4 large or 6 small butts.[p]I will e-mail you the information and pictures.
