Approx Cooking time

I know we cook to temp, but I need to know approx cooking time for an average size butt with a dome temp of 225 - 250. I have to prepare, this whill be my first on the XL BGE. When I have cooked on the gas, I used to wrap in HDRW and cook for 5 hours at 225, and remove from HDRW and cook an additional hour and it fell apart, had to scoup it up, but the flavor just wasn't there.

Figure about 1.5 hrs per pound. Mine usually cook a bit faster when I cook at 250ª dome.

when i do 7to8 pound boneless, around 14 hours plus minus 2. but i will also admit i cheat and raise lower temps in the morning depending how fast or slow its cookingfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
