After cooking some sliders, I was sitting at the table and the family asks "why do you have sawdust in your hair?". When I looked in the mirror, it wasn't sawdust, I had singed my hair and eyebrows while fiddling with the grate on the egg at 500+ degrees.
:woohoo:
I hope that completes my initiation into the club.

The only thing you have left to do is mail your check to the treasurer for your semi-annual dues.
Do you need my address? -
no offense intended, just trying to clean up my act! Constructive comments are appreciated. Negative comments offline. LOL

:silly: Yup, that'll do it! I remember getting all nervous once (note the word once, i learned my lesson) about my temp raging; I shut 'er down and...well...let's just say I forgot to consider the air flow effect...."WHOOM!!" David was inside and he heard it - said it sounded like I blew up the side of the house! :silly: :woohoo: love that smell of burnt hair!

Reading this is a relief.
I just bought my egg Saturday, and noticed after my first cook that I had singed all of the hair off my right hand.
To even things out, I cooked with my left hand on Sunday. -
I forgot about what happens when one isn't careful opening a very hot egg - the unburned fuel kinda "whoomp" ... can you say flashback.
Burned the hair off my left arm from my wrist to about 1/2 to my elbow.
Then, not five mintues later, I wasn't paying attention and pressed the inside of my right forearm against the dome - the next day I had a wonderful honeycomb pattern stenciled onto my forearm. That hurt!
