Got these the other day from Bubba Tim, for my Easter meat-fest. Trust me, we had veggies too, but my series of pics were decidedly meat-oriented. Got nominated for the Bubba-Tim Approved Carnivore Meat Dish Award by LC (according to the awards committee), and shortly thereafter was informed of my winning.
The Loot
Not a bad haul, eh?
Thanks much, Bubba-Tim and LC.
Believe it or not, almost all that meat was wiped out easter day. I sent the ham bone home with my dad last night for his annual mega-pot of pea soup. I think I will do something similar with the lamb bone. Some gravlax is left, some pate', and that's about it.
For lunch the other day i had my wife's home made croutons (about an inch square) slathered with pate'. I wonder what my cholesterol level is this week?
Here's the OP, and thanks again.

mom always gave us campbells scotch broth when we came in, cold and wet, from playing in the snow.
lamb and barley stew with celery and carrots.
i googled , read a bunch of recipes and adapted to my taste.. it was good .
the inebriated diminutive canadian replied to my post that his grandparents were Scots and it was part of his past as well ,, he may have an actual recipe.

it all went, too. mostly.
i put the lamb out as dessert was being served, and saw a lot of dessert being eaten. came in to find the lamb bone completely denuded. GONE. and that was after everything else. ravenous, like wolves they wereed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
Congratulations stike! I somehow had missed your original post but am glad I have seen it now. Not only were your culinary efforts worthy of reward but your photography was as well. Outstanding! Thanks for sharing.

Excellent credentials!!!

Congrats! You earned it.
Talent, pure talent. -
are you giving out photography awards?
thanks for the praise. i just try to work with the limitations of my set-up here, so they (pics) tend to look similar after a while.
there are some good photographers on the forum, and i've tried to get a little better at it. if i'm going to take the time for a pic, it's worth trying to make it a little better.
here's a few older pics, prior to trying

i'm sorry. who are you again? you're going to have to go through my people to arrange something.
my time is very busy now, i can't just drop everything to mingle with the little people. and i'm not just talking about steven. :laugh:ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
took me a while, but i pulled it off.
i think the average weight of meat among the btcmd winners is something like 50 pounds-plus. i honestly just barely qualified :laugh:ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
