Hello all. I'm so excited to finally be an Egghead and to start learning tips and recipes from everyone on this fine community. I have not been this excited about a purchase since . . . well . . . NEVER! Did Ribeyes for first cook last night and I was very impressed, as I knew I would be. Virgin Egger here, so please be gentle!

Horn honk hosts a little gathering every November, too. -
Welcome to the cult Jim. I'm a fairly new egghead myself. This is a great group of people and a lot of fun to be around. Just ask your questions and someone on this network of eggheads will give you an answer.

Everywhere I look I see your picture or your name. You sure are a popular girl. I thought I saw a picture of you cooking in OKC but I must have been mistaken, I think Ku does all the work and you do the PR.
My wife is Beverly and we have tried to get rooms in Athens at the BW and HI but they said they were full. I thought I would even attempt to cook but now I don't know. -
Johnny are you guys coming to Austin?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

Welcome to EGGworld! Looks like you had a good first cook. Are those gloves on the side? Good luck, Randy
-
The food should start coming off 11-ish. Yes, Elliotts sells all the Dizzy Pig rubs! And Ozark Oak lump. We are spoiled in Plano :woohoo:
-
Mickey,
We haven't really talked about Austin. We thought Athens would probably be our next fest if we can get a room at a decent place. I tried in March to get reservations but things were full, Best Western told me to call back in a few weeks to see if there were any cancellations. We would like to see everyone again. -
 Thanks Mickey.
-
Jim:
Everything looks so NEW!!!! That's a great start, and my favorite steak. That's not excitement it's passion, what keeps us all hooked up together here. Looking forward to more photos of your cooks.Judy in San Diego -

Welcome!! Been here only 2 yrs but learned SO much from folks. Lots of great links to food blogs, recipes, you name it. It's a great community and you'll be eating well!
 -
My beautiful wife decided we were going so she called BW and got one of the suites. We will be there and I will try not to make a fool of myself cooking. Remember, I'm new to all of this tomfoolery.
Normally, how many things do you try to cook during the fest? -
Not so much as to miss all the fun and other foods
Plan to cook and serve for an hour or so to make time to enjoy yourselves :woohoo:
Glad you can make it!!!
