I normally make all my rubs, but after hearing everyone talk about how great the Dizzy Pig rubs were I decided to give one a try. Tsunami Spin has had good comments so I bought a bottle. I just did a simple smoked chicken with TS and a little pecan wood.
The chicken was delicious and I like the rub. I will give some of the others a try.

Very nice lookin' chick. I haven't been disappointed with any of their rubs.

Have either of your tried the spicy steak one? So far I am only able to find 3 of the 8 or 10 they offer locally, but was thinking of ordering the spicy steak if any good. I used the generic dizzy rub for a beer can chicken last weekend and it was phenomenal.Indianapolis, Indiana. Go Colts & Hoosiers!

Which Steak rub? Raising the Steaks is really good as is Cow Lick Steak rub. If you mean Jamaican firewalk which is a Jerk style spice or Swamp Venom which is a Cajun style rub, they both make my mouth itchy and almost raw. Don't know what it is about Cajun and Jerk spices but I can't eat them. -
looks like some tasty chicken. good job.
for steaks we've recently come to love the red eye express.
i also like the Jamaican firewalk on pineapplecontext is important -

For steaks I use red eye express. It has a bit of a kick tasting the raw rub, but after it is cooked on a nice steak it is awesome. I order online (cant find it locally), but make sure it is at least 5 bottles so the shipping is not so bad.

Thanks!

I think I am very lucky, the DP wharehouse is about 2 miles from my house, I love these guys. I use the Swamp Venom mixed 50/50 for my pork butts and people go crazy. I mix swamp venom with 1/3 cider vinegar and 2/3 water and sprinkle on the cooked pork to keep it moist for reheating seems to help cut the grease too. I won't cook a steak without cowlick, I love it even when I do a quick steak on the little gas grill. The best thing about DP is they are like no other and take a lot of pride in what they do. I need to swing by tonight and get some stuff for my bone in leg of lamb.
