OT...Texas is Burning, Boys and Girls

Virtually the entire state is in wildfire danger. This was Thursday's sunset in San Antonio accentuated by smoke likely from the Davis Mountains fire. Last week in the panhandle 60,000 plus acres burned NW of Amarillo up to within 3 1/2 miles of my daughter's home. House was full of smoke and they were ready to evacuate. Fires also south of Lubbock, west of Ft. Worth, and around Midland and Odessa. About 400 sq. miles burnt last week. This morning, North Texas is on fire. We haven't had rain since before Christmas. SA is already in water restrictions. It's shaping up to be a long summer.

Been reading about the fires on the web, really out of control. Good luck to you and stay safe. We've enjoyed San Antonio in the past and hope to do so again in the future. PS, your BGE handles are doing just fine.

Lots of severe thunder storms and tornado's here this Spring here in middle Tennessee.
I just got off the phone with my mother in Southwestern Wisconsin. She says it's snowing as we speak.

Same here in Austin. No rain, lake level falling, mandatory burn ban and no forecast for rain. Looks like the large will have a long summer vacation :( and small will get the workout.
