Newbie confused about grid

Bought my first BGE today (Large).
Took it home in the box, and was a little surprised at how easy it was to put together. Smooth as silk.
My question is on the cooking grid. The one that came with the egg appears to be stainless steel, but all the instructions in the box talk about a porcelain grid.
Is this a recent change made by BGE, or did I accidentally get the wrong grid with my egg?

You got the wrong one. Send it to me and I'll swap it out with the porcelain one
Congrats on your new egg it will open up a whole new world of cooking for you. -
I did a search here, but didn't find any discussion about the change. Are there any pros and cons I should be aware of?

The stainless is an "upgrade". If I ever need to replace my originals that's the way I'll go.

Thanks for the reassurance. I couldn't imagine there being a problem with SS, but as usual, the Egger community comes through.

I think you also got a new and improved thermometer with it. I'd be happy if I had gotten the stainless over the porcelain when I got mine back in Nov.
