My Aunt gave me some fresh,handpicked asparagus from her garden soo....I grilled some up in a CI skillet with some pancetta,evoo,s&p and a little balsamic.Then I put it on a coupla toasted,buttered homemade pieces of bread and topped with a slice of cheddr.I stuck it under the broiler just long enough to get the cheeze a little melty.Twas Good.

That dang near looks like a vegetable sandwich - and that ain't right!!!! Looks great. Been a while since I have been on forum, and you still are rocking the posts and pics. Was sitting here thinking of your post a while back for a sausage and smoked Loney fatty, thinking I may make one tomorrow and throw in some Jalapenos, hot mustard and cheese!

It really is.Aunt has an asparagus bed.When the sun came up it was growin,when the sun went down it was History. Less than 10 hours from harvest to consumption.Tastee too.
