Beautiful day in Houston today. Sorry, window tint is heavy from my office.
View of west Houston, Rice univ. and Galleria area.
We had a cool front push in late yesterday and it’s just about as perfect of a day in every way.
On to some food pics
Some Hanger Steak
A little bit of green
Some Salmon on cedar sheets
Chicken Apple Sausage
Have a great week...

Oh how I love the Hanger Steak!
Looks awesome, and I agree on the weather - perfect right now in the Republic of Texas. -
A couple of years ago I was traveling East on I-10 from Arizona. It was hailing and near freezing in ElPaso for the night and in the 40s in Austin. This was a Tuesday.
By the weekend it was over 100 degrees at the Texas Eggfest in Austin. What a hot weekend...Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
Agree on the weather and steak. Just pulled a chicken out of the freezer. Another spatchcocked bird in Round Rock tonight.
-
that all looks great...
I especially like the last pic :evil:context is important -
This is near Finlayson, MN. hoping to be able to get back on the ice his weekend, may need a plank.
I think 15 or so Crappies hit the bucket. -
Nice job on all of it, Darian! I've not seen hangers up here but will continue to keep an eye out.
Bruce -

Beautiful shots of your cookin! :cheer: I'm eating more seafood and fish and I see you do to.
We still have snow on the ground. But I'm heading South and gonna hit the beach soon. No snow there.
-
Your first photo is way cool...
Does the light bring the bait fish to the top for ice fishing as well?Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
I agree with you on the foil but with this CI grate they roll off so easy. I should have skewed them but got lazy.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

Nope. It's the dark 'house' we are in that makes it look so bright. You should see a spear house and the view you get beneath the ice. Check out utube, lots of videos of spearing.

Some great looking trout. Safe travels south to the beach.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

It was 36 in Round Rock this morning, will be in high 80's tomorrow. Welcome to Texas. -
ah
what is that grate anyway?
please don't tell me you grew those, by the way. ours aren't even threatening to break the surfaceed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
We don't grow anything.LOL
The grate is made by Weber.

Tom made me a Woo ring to drop in the Weber System Grates and my stock BGE will "lip" over the flat bar on the Woo.
Throw an idea at Tom and will design and build it.
Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
That was a great day for Phil.
I was sure pulling for him. What a nice guy.
Glad the weather help up for the finish...Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -

We do have some crazy weather here in Texas.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

That is a great SS grid he made for the large.
The new BGE stainless grid really seems weak next to Tom's, esp sized for XL.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
I was pulling for him also...Hope he wins a fourth green jacket this week.Yesterday was really pretty but last night high winds and heavy rain.We have a few big trees down and one is a 100 year old magnolia at the Augusta National.

You can just about see smoke coming from Spring Chicken's Coop from there can't you?
Great looking food shots!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time. -
That's funny. If Leroy gets an XL in the Coop it will be easy to see for miles.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

Outstanding as always Darian.
Damn, Houston looks good today....Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers. -
Darian - is that a small or mini you have that setup on?
