Too hot to cook!

It was a 101 here today, last week not even 70, crazy. Way too hot to cook inside, thank heavens for my egg. Local grocery had tri tip on sale this week, cut one in half and cooked it up. Rubbed with DP Cowlick.
Seared for about 2 minutes a side. Then roasted with crash hot potatoes for about 20 minutes.
Perfect medium rare.
And plated. Sorry for the bad pics, Droid phone. But a very tasty dinner on a hot night!

My heart bleeds for you -- it snowed here this morning.
Nice color on that tri-tip. -
Sorry Teresa, for the hot weather, it's too soon if you ask me!
But your steak looks great, and I think the pics look pretty good too.Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

Teresa:
I had tri-tip tonight too! Great minds think alike. I first saw the crash hot potatoes on the Pioneer Woman's website. Have you ever taken a look through that? It's a real treat.Judy in San Diego -
Thanks Faith. Too hot too early for me too. It is supposed to cool down for the weekend, to the 80's. That is normal for us so a relief.

The price you pay for paradise! Vittles look YUMMEE!
-
Judy,
That is where I got the recipe for Crash Hot's. First tuned into her from Ross in Ventura. Love her website. -
Ha! Paradise is not 101 on April 1. Guess it was God's April Fool's joke on us.
-
Good point!
-
I will take our hot temps to snow in April. You have my sympathy.
-
The tri-tip looks perfect!!!! I wouldn't mind the heat so much if I could have meals like this to go with it. And of course a nice pool (and a poolboy), fruity umbrella drinks, ahhh the good life... :woohoo:

101...WOW!!!
You need to move north, for sure!
We're at a balmy 37 F. this morning ! -

I love Tri-Tip and crushed potatoes! Are we going to see you at Eggs by the Bay this year? I hope so.
