Medium Egg Project-- Worth It??

I recently saw someone selling a Medium BGE for $150 on Craigslist... He claims everything is good EXCEPT for a badly broken base....

Anyone know what a new Medium Base cost? Any thoughts on if this would be a worthwhile project or a waste of money/time?

I already have a medium, and I have been thinking of adding a second as I can share accessories, etc...

    My concern is if the base is broken, could the firebox or ring have issues. For $150 and broken, I would likely pass.

    If you could find out how much the base will cost (including delivery), it would clarify the issue and more people might weigh in.

    I think a couple of eggs that broke also required band replacement, and that could be subtle until you tried to put it together.

    Does it come with anything: nest, plate setter....
