Cookin deer steaks??

Gonna cook some deer steaks and cook them the same way i cook steaks in general. I want to cook them med rare should the internal temp be the same as beef? And the wait time still the same????? might be a stupid question :huh: but im a much better barber than i am a cook

Yes...The temp. is the same, but be careful as the venison is sooooo lean.
Cook it hot and fast, and you should be Okay!! -
Yea they are lean thats why i never grilled them before, (weaber days). I knew they would have dried them out but decided to give em a try on the bge thanks for the responce.

same internal temps as beef, but they will cook a bit faster.
What do you mean by "wait time"? If you mean the rest after cooking but before eating, yes, give them 5-10 minutes before cutting into them. -

Yea normaly we cut them to cook in the frying pan. I got my hands on some about a 1 1/2" to 2" thick i do apreciate all of the advice.

i like the tenderloin steaks grilled alot. if you like the pan fried butter steaks you can do that in the egg as wellfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
