Greeting Fellow Eggheads. LC and I from time to time are asked to review sauces, rubs and other products that can be used on the Big Green Egg. Here is our latest review.
Frogmats claim that they can be used on indirect cooking to facilitate food from falling through and ending up in the lump. They also claim that the reusable, non stick mesh, cleans up easy and are safe in the dishwasher. They say they are not to be used over direct flame and are good up to 550 degrees.
LC and I tested the Frogmats and must say, they do everything they claim and then some. I give it a

They are FDA approved for food, and teflon coated. Very flexable and forgiving. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:SEE YOU IN FLORIDA, March 14th and 15th 2014 http://www.sunshinestateeggfest.com You must master temp, smoke, and time to achive moisture, taste, and texture! They look similar to something he was carrying last year. I think Steve got one. Been real busy and haven't been able to stop by and see him for a bit but with the hours he keeps at the store  I'll have to go by his warehouse and see whats new in the table division.

Did you put them to the silicon muffin test?

He has some surprises that he will reveal at the Sunshine State Eggfest....I could tell you, but then I would have to make you eat some smoked loney!.. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:SEE YOU IN FLORIDA, March 14th and 15th 2014 http://www.sunshinestateeggfest.com You must master temp, smoke, and time to achive moisture, taste, and texture! Great product - Mike Riblett of Frogmats is a great guy, and will cut them to order if you ask him. That way they can go on any BGE or other cooker for that matter. It is my go to shrimp mat.

All the above and Mike Riblett of Frogmats is a super nice guy....Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

We have been smoking trout and these would be perfect! We got one of the black mats Dan was selling last year and have used it a lot. A bit more "finished" looking but I hated to cut it to fit for just that reason. stupid I know as it is not like it would harm it. We will def pic up a few of these at the fest for our eggs.

Thanks!!

If you can't use it on a direct cook what do you recommend that would take its place. Thanks Randy

Thanks for posting this review, Tim.
I placed an order today for 2 of the 10x13 ones, since:
1) Your review was so good,
2) They are discontinuing web orders on Friday, in support of their local dealers, and
3) There are NO local dealers within a state or two of me. :(
I also sent a link to your review AND the frogmats web site to my local dealer. He responded with interest and had request info form Frogmats. :woohoo:
Thanks again !
