President's Day is one of those weird holidays where only federal or state workers get it off. I find that when the wife goes to work and I stay at home that my mind spins. Especially since I bought an XL BGE back in the summer. I either make my root rub, smoke some ribs or plan some other elaborate cook. Yesterday I decided to do some house work with a new power drill that I just got. Most housewives would probably cringe at the thought of their husband loose in the house unsupervised with a power drill, but mine was pleasantly surprised when she get home.
I picked this beauty up at the Shore this past weeked at one of those surf sign shops on the boardwalk. I think it speaks for itself.
I mounted it in an appropriate spot on the Big Green Shed right above my Pig Furnace.
That project was fairly straight forward, but I also decided to dress up the nursery in the house. My wife and I are expecting our first child, which is a boy, due in May. We are going with a surf shop theme for the room.
I spent a couple of hours measuring, drilling and mounting these wake boards. These are real wooden wake boards and not really meant to be mounted so I had to drill some mounting holes through them. Getting them placed perfectly level and evenly spaced between the window and the wall was tricky, but I nailed it. Mounted this with some hollow wall anchors and rubber washers so I could tighten them down real good. They aren't going anywhere.
Surfs up brah!!

Pig furnace
Ya watch that left one, you know jr. is going to be pulling and grabbing onto it. -
If that boy manages to pull it down then he is the man and deserves nothing but accolades. I mounted it with quarter inch bolts so he can basically hang from it. Crazy guy!

Grats on the baby! Love the sign on the shed and the boards are cool too.Large and Small BGE * www.quelfood.com

I love that sign!
Those are Skim boards FWIW. -
Nice. Love the sign! But wasn't she a bit put out when she found out she was "old"? Or is SHE the grill master and YOU are old?
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Looks like you made excellent use of your time....that's gonna be one cool nursery!

Mud Pig, that's a nice nursery! Keep us posted when the stork arrives.

When the stork arrives and delivers the little one make sure you snatch him real quick and toss him on the EGG, I'm hungry for some poultry.

The old flame is the one BEFORE the current flame :woohoo:. Just sayin'
