Pork Butt Injection

So, butt's been on all night. My plan was to inject with an apple juice mixture as it came out of the plateau. So, at 180, I did as planned, but the temp has plummeted - from 180 two hours ago to 160 currently.
I guessed it would lose some temp just after the injection, but I thought it would recover more quickly than this. I assume it wasn't quite out of the plateau at 180. Ideas?
TIA.

Did you use cold juice?

Mostly the temp of the injectate, plus the opening of the dome contributed to your temp drop. Once the egg restabilizes and the injectate come up to temp.
At this stage (probably out of the plateau) you can kick your temp up to 300 or so and finish it off without affecting the final product. -
Don't do that again. Nuke it for 30-45 seconds.
Problem solved.
That said, I've never seen a reason to inject a butt during a cook. A brisket , sure, but never a butt. I hope it comes out the way you want. -
Well, it turned out great as usual. Obviously, injections should be hot when going in. (Boy, it would be easy to interpret that last sentence wrong).
