Thanks all

Several choices. I like to cook direct 350 with lemon butter and seasoning until the meat turns white, careful not to overcook as they get tuff.

I hope stike jumps in here but steaming is the best way in my opinion. You can egg them but the meat suffers IMHO.

AGREED! Season and steam gets my vote.

split them, put it a little butter, that is it!

Man, we have all done things on the egg cause we can. Lobster is too expensive to take a chance IMHO

Susan you got that right, they look great!

well, i would be a why-zass and say that the best way to cook lobster tails is to steam them while they are still attached to a live lobster
if you have thawed previously frozen tails, i would snip the membrane out of them (the swimmerettes side), grill them flesh side ddown for just as long as it takes for them to not stick, roll them onto the shell side and slather them in butter (seasoned or not).
not sure if frozen tails need to be skewered. live lobster's tails will curl when cooked (rigor mortis)ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
those southern bugs ain't lobstah. they are big shrimp.
anything without a body and claws is just purtended egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
I agree with that. Steamed LIVE MAINE lobstah is the BEST!At least the best I ever tried.

Susan you do not cut the bottom?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

Roughly how long and at what temp? -
I haven't tried cutting just the top but am going to give it a go next time we do lobster tails.
