Just to let y'all know I'm still hanging around. Have another Butt thawing and thought I would give the bolo a go. This was all I could get close by, a little more then I wanted to pay but the next store was not worth driving to not knowing what they might have.
Have not smoked bolo before but used to love fried baloney sandwiches.
Any suggestion are welcome,
Cheers,
Bordello
Still on the Hunt :woohoo:
Can't forget the Butt that's thawing.

Put slits in the bologna and rub some of your favorite rub on the bologna and smoke it with some cherry wood at 250 indirect for a few hours. When the bologna reaches 150 internal pull the chub and slice about 1/4 inch slices. Then using a CI skillet put butter in the skillet & melt it. Put a few slices of smoked bologna on the skillet & char it up for a few minutes...then slap the bologna between 2 pieces of white bread with mustard or your favorite bbq sauce..even Poot eats my bologna sammiches this way....

I'm glad to see it being called bolo. That makes a little bit of sense versus "loney".

Thanks Kim, sounds great and should be a fun cook and being as I give most of what I egg to friends it will be nice to see the look on their faces. :silly:
Hope you're having a good week,

I had to look and make sure you weren't a "loney" something or other making fun of me for making fun of that silliness.
Thank you sir for the correct useage of the under appreciated bolgna. -
How about Loney Bolo??? I think around here they call me Loney. :woohoo:
Just what the forum needs, A Loney Bordello :woohoo: But hey, I think that's what it's got anyways. :silly:

Thanks Hoss, I'll be sure to get a couple of shots when I do it.
Hmmmm, Wonder how it would be with a little jagermeister injected into it??? :S I'm still not drinking except for Buckler N/A beer but I love to do these things to my friends.
Me be one Crazy Bordello at times. :silly: -

I thought a bolo was what they issued when they wanted to talk to ya!... You know in one of those official rooms with the big mirror.
Really, I like both... I just cant say "I am going to smoke a baloney this weekend" around most of my friends! :PLarge and Small BGE * www.quelfood.com -
I think all of us here in Eggland are a bit Loney.
And I love it.

Thanks, love to join the court but must first be worthy.

Yep, they would think you were full of it. :cheer:
But hey, there's nothing wrong with that either.
