Found a little CI surprise in Chinatown tonight

Took my daughter to Chinatown in Oklahoma City today as I like to eat at a good place without a mega-buffet. I also like to go to the markets and today I found a little gem.
I think it would be fun to put on the egg when entertaining out by the pool and allow people to cook up thin sliced meats and veggies as they want them. It's 10" across so it's not very big but I couldn't pass it up for $9.

Do the words Mongolian BBQ pop up.
Nice find, bet you have fun with that. Send pic's :laugh:Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers. -
you could cook up some of the super thin pita, thinner than greek, thinner than arabic.... super thin. almost like a crepe.context is important

something like this would work nice with that pan sitting out on a table or bar setup. i like when people cook for themselves

Nice find, Big Daddy!
Think about showing it off in April -
found the dimensions 11.5 diameter x 7.5 tall, would fit that castiron grill nicely. might get them bothfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

Go for it. then let us know.
no sense all of us making the same mistake. -
Oklahoma City has a Chinatown? I never would have guessed.
Nice find. I love cast iron, especially the uncommon type stuff, but I never seem to get lucky when I browse around Goodwill stores. I keep telling myself "one day......" -
Fidel you need to rub Photoegg's head for goodwill luck.
The guys finds are out of this world.
I would just be happy with his culls.
New large egg, etc......Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers. -
From what I recall he owes me a small favor. Maybe he'll send me some of his good luck in the mail.
-
My thoughts exactly--it reminds me of a saj, the Arab cooking device that looks like an upside down wok.
-
Yes, I owe you big time. Friendships and gifts from people on this forum are just hard to believe.
May the luck be with you...Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -

Mickey, I was thinking Mongolian BBQ but it's a little small...we'll see.
Keri, I'm thinking I'll bring a variety of marinated meats to the after party at OKC and along the lines of Mickey's comment, the Asian market has a similar base that's a clay pot with a metal band and this thing would be perfect on it. However, I will check to see how it fits on a small egg as well.
Thanks for the comments!
