Pork Roulade question...

So I would like to make a pork roulade for the guys at the firehouse. Since we don't have a charcoal grill and I don't have a way to transport my large yet(I have a nest handler but I still need a way to get it into my truck by myself-maybe a ramp?)
So I am thinking about prepping the night before I go to work, giving it a cold smoke for some flavor, and cooking it in the oven at work the following night. Anybody ever done this or have any recommendations?

must be different in MD, in mass they would send the firetuck, load it up, hit the supermarket, maybe drop off some dry cleaning and head back to the station to do the cook  only way i can load an egg is to disassemble, wear gloves if picking from the lower vent, it can cut you like a knifefukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

I could load it up at my Vollie fire house (it's only 2 minutes away) Problem is that my paid department is over an hour away. I would like to get some ramps to roll the nest up in the truck and strap it down. Do you think a quick shot of cold smoke would work?

I think that'll work fine. Just cool it down properly between smoke and cook.
You need this.

Thanks Molly. I have read about those potlifters but the problem is that I still need another person to lift it. My wife is pregnant and I really don't want her to lift anything. My best option is to use ramps and to keep the egg in the nest with the handler and strap it down. Thanks though!
